Regular mopping just doesn’t reach the stubborn dirt that lies deep in the pores of your hardwood, but our cleaning process does. This process includes an initial vacuuming of the areas to remove any loose dirt and debris, an auto scrubbing with an alkaline cleaner and then another auto scrubbing with a neutral cleaner to return the floor to its initial sheen. Edges are hand scrubbed, as are stairs.
There is no charge to move furniture. Our crews are professionally trained to move, or as we say “shift” your furniture, and then return it to its rightful place when cleaning is completed. The exception would be if a maintenance coating has been applied to hardwood flooring. If yes, the furniture must remain off the wood flooring for 24 hours so we would not return it to its original location. You would do that after 24 hours. If it is cleaning only, of the hardwood floors, we will put the furniture back in place when the cleaning is completed.
There are several items we do not move for safety reasons such as: pianos, electronics, china cabinets full of china, waterbeds, some large beds, dressers with mirrors, etc.
We do ask you to remove items off of your furniture like plants, lamps and knick knacks before we arrive. The care of your personal possessions is our main concern. We don’t want items to tip over or fall off the furniture we are moving. We know homes have many family heirlooms that need tender loving care and handling so we ask you to place them in a safe location during the cleaning process.
We cannot guarantee that we will remove all spots or stains. There are substances that can permanently discolor hardwood. The age of the hardwood and the type of flooring also play a factor in this. The technician will do an analysis of the flooring prior to cleaning and will discuss any existing pre-conditions with you, prior to beginning the work.

Yes, we have an optional Maintenance Coating that may be applied!
Clean and Maintenance Coat your hardwood floors with a combination of our deep cleaning and an application of our hardwood floor refinisher. First, we remove dirt and debris with our cleaning process. Then we can coat your floors with our Maintenance Coat solution. Our fast drying Maintenance Coat will leave your floors with a uniform, overall sheen. If the maintenance coating has been applied a 2-4 hour drying time is required before walking on the surface. When cleaning just isn’t enough, refinish your floor with our Maintenance Coat process.
Typically, an area is a room that is up to 300 square feet (that is 15 x 20 or approximately the size of a two-car garage). Living room/dining room combos are considered two areas. Any area over 300 square feet but less than 600 square feet is priced as two areas. Non-standard areas (baths, halls, entry’s, landings, walk-in-closets, etc.) are priced separately from the standard areas, usually at a lesser price and may be up to 50 sf to be counted as one area.
Over 50 square feet for non-standard areas would be considered two areas for pricing. Our crew will measure any areas they think may be oversized before charging it as two areas.
